The leadership activity days are conducted once a month on Sundays. The activity days start with a short introductory session to explain the topic of the day and then continues with leadership activities and games. These sessions are generally 2 – 3 hours in duration but some activity days can run a whole day (6 - 8 hours). Activity days are typically held outdoors (weather-permitting).
Bushwalks are organised frequently and all (Viskam children and parents) are encouraged to join. We regularly visit national parks in Southeast Queensland and encourage Viskam kids explore the natural environment. One of our main objectives is to encourage kids to learn and think about the importance of protecting or natural environment and then taking positive action towards it
The leadership camps are a popular highlight of our program and are a fantastic experience for everyone! We conduct both indoor and outdoor sessions with leadership games and activities to develop leadership skills. An important feature of our program is the participation of parents. While the children engage with leadership camp facilitators, the parents can enjoy their time walking, playing games, relaxing or observing how their children engage in leadership activities and group settings.
Geena is a musical talent show organised for children to display their vocal, instrumental, dancing or any other artistic talent. Geena is an annual event typically held during our leadership camps.
